How it works

A single sensor placed on the forehead picks up an electrical signal weaker than the noise of a blink. Everything Cerebro does happens between that signal and a training program tailored to a single individual.

Here it is, step by step and without skipping anything.

1

Device

A single sensor placed on the forehead, over the prefrontal cortex. This isn't a compromise position: it's precisely the region where attention, emotional regulation, and impulse control occur. Exactly what you need to read about and exactly what you need to train for.

From there, the brain device captures raw electrical activity, without gel and without wires.

2

Reading

And therein lies the problem. The brain signal is sensitive. A blink, an eye movement, or clenching the jaw generates an electrical impulse many times greater than the activity being measured.

And the forehead, with only one channel, is the point most exposed to all of them. That's why, until now, a laboratory was needed: more electrodes, gel, an isolated room, and someone monitoring the recording. It wasn't a whim. It was the only way to prevent noise from overpowering the signal—until now.

3

Layers

This is where it all comes down to it. Layer is our processing system: more than fourteen successive layers of filtering, refining, and calibration that run through the raw signal, discarding artifacts and reconstructing real brain activity.

What goes in is a weak, dirty signal. What comes out are calibrated square microvolts: a stable measurement, comparable between sessions and between people, with a quality equivalent to that of equipment with many more electrodes. It wasn't a matter of having more electrodes. It was a matter of knowing how to read them with current technology.

4

Information

With a clean signal, the calculations are reliable. From these values, our artificial intelligence builds an eighteen-section dimensional report: it organizes the measurements, puts them into context, and translates them into a language that the team can read and discuss with the patient. It doesn't diagnose or draw any conclusions. It's another assessment tool, added to those you already use, not a replacement for any of them.

5

Neurofeedback

Mapping doesn't just measure. It calibrates. From the initial recording, each person's own thresholds emerge: where their calm begins, where their activation begins, and how much space there is between the two.

Each neurofeedback session is tailored to these values and readjusted in real time during training. Traditional neurofeedback uses fixed protocols, the same for everyone. Those with a baseline far from the average either never reach their target or reach it effortlessly. In both cases, they learn nothing. With personalized thresholds, this doesn't happen.
